All about PhD Position, PhD Studentship, and PhD Scholarship

As part of an initiative by the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the University of Pretoria (South Africa) has made funds available for two doctoral scholarships for students coming from Commonwealth Countries (excluding South African students), which are awarded on a competitive basis. The University of Pretoria regards itself as a research intensive university. Hence, it is seeking candidates who will make a significant contribution to its research endeavour.
A full-time postgraduate scholarship commencing in Semester 2, 2010 is available for a suitably qualified candidate to undertake research leading to a PhD in international conflict. The project will investigate the roles of norms, political culture, values, and/or similar factors in patterns of interstate conflict across different regions of the world. The research will be complementary to, and in close interaction with, an ARC-funded project on the role of political institutions in regional conflict dynamics.

The Drug Research Academy at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Copenhagen is pleased to announce that a PhD fellowship will be available from 1 June 2010 to encourage young science graduates to embark on a career in drug research. The purpose of the Drug Research Academy is to train the next generation of drug researchers. Emphasis is on integrated research training to enable researchers to conduct innovative drug research in an interdisciplinary and highly integrated environment. The PhD study programme includes obligatory PhD courses with focus on key elements in drug research. The industrial perspective is considered essential and at least three months of research must be carried out in an industrial environment. Applications are invited for the three-year fellowship from candidates that hold or expect to hold a master´s degree in a field relevant to the following project:
Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships 2011

The Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) aim to develop leadership and build partnerships and linkages within the Asia-Pacific, while addressing priority development issues of the region.
The ALA program comprises ALA Scholarships and ALA Fellowships. These awards are for leaders or those who have potential for leadership roles that can influence social and economic reform, both in their own countries and in the Asia-Pacific region.
ALA Scholarships are for study at Masters or Doctorate level in an Australian university. Study programs must relate to a priority development area: disability, economic growth, education, environment, food security, gender, governance, health, human rights, infrastructure, regional stability, rural development, water and sanitation. ALA scholars also undertake a Leadership Development Program in Australia.
